I'm TJ Powers, and I'm a State Director in Lexington, Kentucky. I've been with the Company since July 5, 2005. When I started, the AIL opportunity was the same as it is today and will be forever. The reason I say that is because what you put into it is what you get back out. AIL is a ladder, unlike most corporate America, which is a pyramid. The beauty of a ladder is that you can go straight up to the top. The beauty of this Company is that you can serve others, but you don't truly serve unless you have a passion for what you sell.

I started out in the Cleveland office with Jim Surace and Marcus Smith. I was just a regular guy right out of high school, ready to be an Agent. I was one of those guys who wanted the best out of life but was not born with a silver spoon in my mouth. I found out about American Income Life. When I went through the interview process I realized it truly was, is, and forever more will be the opportunity unlimited. I'm no different than anybody else, as I've told you. That opportunity was a blessing for me, TJ Powers, but could also be a blessing for any Susie, Mary, Joe, or Bob.

It's the effort you put into it that makes the difference, and that's what I love so much about what we do. You're not going to go to work and work at a '5' on a scale of 1-10, are you? We ask for you to work at a '10' every day that you come to work. Why? Because you're not in business for yourself or by yourself. You're part of a team. Yet you do own your own business, and that's the most beautiful part about American Income Life, and why I love what we do so much. That's why I believe this opportunity is for everybody.
